It is also a building block for several agrochemicals (miticides) or for derivatives like cinnamic alcohol, 3-phenylpropanol, cinnamonitrile, 3-phenylpropionylaldehyde (fragrances and as an alternative to enalapril, lisinopril and ramipril).
